Description
This short trail ends at the John and Marge Cooke Overlook with views of the Mississippi River in the distance! The route is well defined, making it easy to follow as you make your way to the beautiful overlook.
The Horseshoe Mound Preserve is owned and maintained by a nonprofit organization, so be sure to leave a donation in the box at the kiosk!

Prairie wildflowers and oak savanna dominate the landscape surrounding the trail.
