Runner Notes

There is no parking at the trailhead, but a lot of people seem to park at the Walgreens on the NW corner of Power and Thomas. There is more parking at the park and ride at the Power/Loop 202 exit, about 1/2 mile away.

Description

The trailhead for this trail is on the northeast side of the Power and Thomas/Eagle Crest intersection. Once you cross the canal bridge when heading east from Power Rd, look for the trail to start under a tree and crossing a wash. This trail is nothing special, mostly flat singletrack that is used mainly by mountain bikers. Do not expect much from this trail on its own... it runs between the back walls of neighborhood yards and a barbed wire fence that discourages people from going into the canal. The real draw is the other trails in the system; it is worth the trip.
