Description
Breckinridge Park is a 400+ acre park that features multi-use trails, sports fields, playgrounds, gazebos, pavilions, and tons of space for everyone to enjoy the outdoors. This particular trail can begin in a variety of places since there is adequate parking all around the park. As with most other trails in Richardson, this trail is paved and nicely maintained by the local parks department.
There are many options to choose your own route with many connecting trails throughout the park. Cyclists frequent this trail system which allows you to link up with other trails to the north, but are typically very courteous. Portions of the trail run parallel to the heavily wooded areas surrounding Rowlett Creek, with other parts enjoying plenty of space to breath in wide open fields. Overall, this park provides a variety of trail options on both sides of Rowlett Creek that should please the most discerning outdoor enthusiast.
