Description
The Red Hot is recognized as the kickoff for the ultra running calendar for most trail runners. It was started by local Moab trail runner and race director Chris Martinez, who wanted to show runners that Moab, Utah is a trail runner's paradise all year around.
Besides being a beautiful course, it's also challenging. It attracts a diverse group of runners every year, including elite runners like Ian Torrence, Karl Meltzer, Rob Krar, Anton Krupicka, Dakota Jones, Emily Harrison, Anita Ortiz, Darcy Africa, and Krissy Moehl who have become Red Hot Runners that make sure to return every year.
