Sections of the trail that travel through city parks are closed sunset to sunrise.

Description

The trail begins at the boat launch at the end of Illinois Street and travels north, winding through a quiet neighborhood with light traffic. Directional arrows for the trail are painted on the city streets, but are pretty faded, so refer to the map or Trail Run Project mobile app if you take a wrong turn.

The trail turns into a pedestrian path at the end of Forest Grove Court and travels through Shorewood Park. Be sure to check out the water-skiing show during the summer!

The trail continues on to city streets again at the end of Shorewood Park. Continue north on East Drive for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto the first left, River Lane, to find Martin Park, where the trail becomes a pedestrian trail again.
