Runner Notes

Portions of this trail can be quite muddy and slippery when wet.

Description

The trail has a number of ascents and descents and meanders through a number of bluff ravines and open goat prairies. It connects with the Perrot Ridge Trail, and the other cross-country ski/running trails, allowing visitors a number of interesting and varied routes.

This trail functions as a groomed cross-country skiing trail in the winter and as a foot trail in the warmer months. During winter months, the trail is fenced off at points where it intersects with dedicated running trails but park rangers mark alternate routes that allow runners to circumvent the skiing trails.
