This trail is a mostly flat singletrack, and the best option at the end of this trail is to continue on through the shallow sandy river to cool your feet!

The Lake Wainamu Track runs around the edge of Lake Wainamu, as its name suggests.

The trail is mostly level with either gravel or grassy singletrack dominating the trail. The route ends meandering through the edge of a series of sand dunes. If dunes aren't what you were hoping for, you can run through the ankle deep stream to reach Bethell's Beach.

There are great views of the Giant Black sand dunes and plenty of swimming spots in the Lake!
