Description
The
Ohlone Trail starts from the Santa Teresa County Park eastern entrance at the edge of suburban south San Jose. The first 0.6 miles is relatively flat, as the trail goes through grass-covered hills with stands of trees, behind a golf course. A couple seasonal streams are crossed.
The
Ohlone Trail then goes through a short, wooded section, as it crosses the
Coyote Peak Trail, about 0.7 miles from the
Ohlone Trail trailhead. After the shaded, wooded section, the
Ohlone Trail again runs along a grass and tree-studded hillside, with the golf course still to the right of the trail.
About 1.3 miles from its trailhead, the
Ohlone Trail leaves the golf course behind, as it now follows along Bernal Road to the right of the trail. The
Ohlone Trail enters a wooded area for about its final 0.2 miles. There is a very, very short, but steep section at the very end of
Ohlone Trail, where it meets with the
Hidden Springs Trail, and comes to an end.
