The eastern half of the trail is on state land and the western half is on private property.
Runner Notes
Much of the trail is on state land so you are supposed to have a recreation permit to run/hike/bike there. If you have a hunting/fishing license I think that covers you.
Description
This trail is labeled
Snappy Jack if you come up the hill from Ironwood and Extenz if you go west from Indian Cliffs. Somewhere along the way the name changes but I must have missed the map.
Starting at Indian Cliffs, take either the
High Line Trail or
Your Mom to
Pipeline. If you take the
High Line Trail, then go down
Pipeline and the Extenz trail will go off to the right. If you take
Your Mom then just go straight ahead to continue onto Extenz.
This trail has a lot of short ups and downs, switchbacks, and some boulders to scramble over. Makes for an interesting run although I can't imagine biking it! You can see folks on the High Line above you and, of course, you can see Ironwood down below. Overall, a great run.
Flora & Fauna
The usual critters...rabbits, birds, lizards, etc.
