Runner Notes

This is probably the only trail in the area that would not be good for trail running. The elevation changes and rocks would make keeping up your pace difficult.

Description

The Laurel Ridge Trail connects the kiosk and parking area to the north with the access road that leads to the Visitor Center & Museum. Although the trail is not long, it is tough in sections. There are steep elevation changes and patches of rocks here and there. There is a nice observation deck overlooking a small gorge about midway on the trail. There is also a small bridge along the trail.

Flora & Fauna

Typical Georgia pine, hickory, poplar, and other hardwoods.
