Overview
A relaxing run to a view where you can see much of the Keweenaw.
Need to Know
This run involves a creek crossing and gathers lots of snow in the winter time, so the creek is more difficult to cross in the spring.
Runner Notes
In the springtime, there may be water and mud from the snow melt.
Description
This run starts from a parking lot (not plowed in the winter) and goes to a split with a small parking area. Go right to stay on the nature trail and continue your ascent. You'll cross a creek and make a couple winding turns until you finally pop out of the woods into a clearing, this is the first top and means you are almost there.
You'll descend a little before beginning the final climb to the top of Mt. Baldy. From the top, you can see several lakes and small towns in the Keweenaw as well as Brockway Mountain and other well-known geographical markers in the area.
