I enjoy trail running this loop more than hiking, but either can be done.

Description

The special aspect of this trail is the pine needle covered path. It makes for a great trail run with little to no obstacles.

This loop run is accessed by a short run from the Bald Cypress Trail and the visitor center. There are no views along this trail, but what I enjoyed was the pine needle covered trail itself. The pine needles are like a soft carpet, padding the trail.
