Crested Butte is known for having some of the best trails in the country. Its wide open views will amaze runners, as they traverse through Gunnison National Forest. There will be wildflowers and the beginning of fall will bring the changing aspen leaves.

The race will begin at Crested Butte Mountain Resort and travel through the national forest, before finishing at the same location. As a part of the course, Crested Butte Ultra will travel along Teocalli Ridge #557. Here runners will encounter a nice climb, before the technical downhill. The trail will then take runners through a beautiful meadow.
