If you come to Villa Ventana, you can run your way to an abandoned building from early 1900. It used to be a hotel and started out as a recovery clinic and operated with ups and downs until late 1970's before falling into disrepair.

The trail goes winding right next to a small creek that carries water born in the sierras, and it's a very nice route that can be carried out by pretty much anyone. There are some parts you should pay attention due to close forest, but it's not possible to get lost.

Villa Ventana is a very nice little town with some local gastronomical offerings and a couple of local beer breweries. There's also a nice vineyard with local shop, and this makes for a great destination post run.
