Description

Like all trails in Moses Cone, this trail is a wide, gravel path closed to traffic and open to foot traffic and horses. The trail has very gentle grades throughout, allowing for easy running.

This trail begins under the tunnel underpass at the Blue Ridge Parkway and drops down to the scenic Trout Lake, before starting a very gentle climb up to the top of Rich Mountain with multiple views along the way in mountain side meadows and at its semi-clear summit.
