Leave from the center Zheleznitsa and follow the blue-blazed trail up the creek. After about 2 km, you'll come out of the forest, and the trail will climb to the right. The climb continues to steepen up an eroded gravel road before you come to a section of forest. In the forest, the trail continues to climb steeply for another few hundred meters. As you exit the forest, you'll see the Lozan mountains rising behind you, and you can catch glimpses of Sofia to the north. The trail climbs steeply along a creek until it reaches the Academic Training Base. From here, the trail continues to climb but much more gradually. After rain, sections of this trail can be wet and muddy.
