Park on the street near the intersection of Sunshine Dr. and Balmoral. Head west on Sunshine to the yellow gate at the bottom of the Motorway.

Las Flores Motorway is an out-and-back climb along the southeastern ridge of the Verdugo Mountains and ends at a three-way intersection with Beaudry South Motorway and the eastern end of the Verdugo Motorway. Many runners choose to continue along the Verdugo Motorway to Tongva Peak or even the Brand Bench at the top of the Brand Park Mountain Way before turning around for the trip back.

With a wide road, smooth grade, and relatively few steep sections, Las Flores Motorway is a delightful grade that gives you leave to enjoy the spectacular views of downtown Los Angeles, Griffith Park, and on clear days out to the Pacific Ocean or even Catalina Island. It is south-facing and exposed to the sun for a significant portion with little in the way of shade, so more popular in the cooler mornings and evenings.
