Description
Moose Head Trail is a short 1-mile trail within Turtle River State Park that meanders through the wooded hillside on the east side of the park. The trail starts and ends at prominent trailheads within the park, so it is easy to find and quickly run without worrying about your starting or ending point.
The majority of the trail is a singletrack that heads through the hills and woods, briefly coming out into a few open groves. The trail feels quite secluded, and has a few steeper switchbacks and slopes, but is still doable for most people and children. Expect to possibly see quite a bit of wildlife along this trail, especially in the two open groves you head through!
