Either trailhead requires a $5 parking fee or a recreation pass, so be mindful of that.
Description
This trail runs from the Bottle Prairie Trailhead in the south to the Knebal Springs Campground trailhead in the north. It can be taken in either direction. Because the trail is a little more technical than its sister trail,
Bottle Prairie Trail #455, it might be favorable to run up this one if combining the trails for a loop.
If running downhill, expect some sections with lots of roots and rocks, and towards the bottom, there is a section of tight and winding trail with lots of blind corners. There are just enough obstacles to keep you on your toes.
The trail crosses several forest roads and has some very short sections of doubletrack, but the trail is also signed extremely well with new, easy-to-follow signs so it's hard to get lost.
