The Little Creek Trail is a long, mellow trail that traverses a wide variety of terrain. Throughout the route, you'll encounter a number of creek crossings surrounded by the hardwood bottomland setting. There are also plenty of stretches with dense pine. The corridor narrows in these sections. The yellow trail markers are plentiful and helpful for route-finding.
Since the loop is nearly 20 miles most runners will likely want to run just a portion of it in a day unless you're planning on a multi-day trip.
On occasion, you'll encounter some old concrete structures left over from the Camp Livingston army base days when the area was built up to support World War II.
