Description

The Rattlesnake Trail begins at a junction with the Skyline Trail that sits in the hills between the L.A. Zoo and the Travel Town Museum. From here, take the trail downhill to the north and after quickly switchbacking the trail will become fairly steep as it descends to the hillside. After running for 1/2 of a mile the trail will hit Zoo Drive next to the L.A. Live Steamers, a scale model railroad that offers rides. At this point the Rattlesnake Trail comes to an end. You can return along the same route to link up with other trails in the area if you want to extend your run.
