Runner Notes
There's a vault toilet at the trailhead off of Warren Wagon Road. This trail can also be access by starting on the
20-Mile Trail at the Duck/Hum Lake trailhead on Lick Creek Road.
Description
This 3.2-mile singletrack takes off from the
20-Mile Trail (#85) and leads to four beautiful mountain lakes. The first 0.5 mile of Trail #315 is pretty steep, but it's all in the shade and there are switchbacks so you aren't running straight uphill.
The grade eventually eases off, and the trail stays in the trees for about two miles. There are several small creeks to step across and dip a bandana into. Then the trail leaves the shade and crosses a burned area. The trail grade picks up again for a bit, then flattens for the approach to the lakes.
There aren't "official" trails between the lakes but you can easily run between the lakes as the area is open due to the fires. The fishing is supposedly pretty good, and the swimming is excellent.
