Runner Notes
In summer, watch your step through some of the marshy sections. In wet months, be prepared to get your feet wet!
Description
This trail is a "seasonal gem" of sorts. It comes alive mostly in winter and spring when the creeks are in full swing. The trail wraps around the pond area, which is fed by a couple creek fingers (which also have a couple small waterfall features).
In the summer and during drier times, the pond area is a bit marshy and prone to mosquitoes! If you have used this trail in the dry season and were left unimpressed....do yourself a favor and come back when the water is higher–it will blow you away how lush and full of sound this trail and pond can be.
You might notice the trailhead signs that cross into this area will say either "Pond Trail" or "Pond Loop Trail"....they are one in the same.
