Description

This trail is the newest in Pedernales Falls State Park and follows the canyon rim. This trail features very short, steep climbs, some rocky sections, and small water crossings.

In some instances, it is almost like running a broken staircase, so come well equipped with water and food. Thankfully, the trail is nicely shaded in the juniper trees, compared to lower trails, and the scenery is incredible, all of which make this trail well worth running.

There is good signage at the trailheads, but be sure to download the trail map before running out or use the Trail Run Project mobile app. Also, make sure you are not overly ambitious on the mileage because this can be a difficult route.
