The parking lot is small and has a gate that is used for access to the field. DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE GATE. If the parking lot is full you should think about going somewhere else as parking on the road may be risky. If you can find a spot, walk across the field to the back right (southwest) corner to reach the beginning of the trail.
Runner Notes
This trail offers a decent bit of elevation gain and some steeps, but it's a little too short to be a run on its own. Instead, combine it with
Carroll's Hill Loop Trail via a short jaunt on the road to make this worth your while.
Description
This is a smooth-treaded trail through dense hardwood forest to a decent viewpoint on the edge of a tall cliff. Be careful with kids as it is a shear 50+ foot drop over the edge. There is also Tippin Rock, which is a 40-ton boulder sitting on a slab of granite that you can push to get rocking back and forth. The trail is well worn and well marked with blue blazes.
