Bond Creek is a classic alpine route with great views and scenic places to stop along the way.
From the Bond Creek Trailhead on Hwy 83 near milepost 71, head east up the trail which starts off relatively level but after about 2.5 miles it begins to get gradually steeper. Around 3.5 miles the trail passes a small cascade, a popular place to stop and have a snack.
The trail continues to ascend up the Bond Creek drainage crossing it occasionally. It reaches Bond Lake at about 6 miles and east northwest through rocky avalanche terrain past Tinkus Lake about 7.5 miles in.
The trail ends at the intersection with Alpine Trail.
