Description
The Woods & Field Trail (yellow blazes) is accessed from the Lower Parking Lot within the Pandapas Pond Day Use Area. It departs from the westernmost point of the parking lot heading west. The doubletrack width trail weaves west until it comes to an intersection with the orange-blazed
Poverty Creek Trail. Pay attention at this intersection as mountain bikers may be speeding along on the
Poverty Creek Trail.
Continue straight to stay on the Woods & Field Trail until it comes to an open field with a Pollinator Garden straight ahead. This is a shared trail with many walkers and runners and there are often people enjoying the Pollinator Garden; be sure to respect their experiences. Hunting is illegal within the Pandapas Pond Day Use Area, but wear bright colors during hunting season (October 1st through the first week of January), especially if exiting out of the Day Use Area. And be friendly; say "hi" to other folks out enjoying the forest! And check out the Poverty Creek Trail Coalition on
Facebook to see about opportunities to give back and do some trail service!
