Overview

This is a nice ~10-mile loop that joins the Mason Creek Trail, Border Line Trail, and Staunton Ranch Trail. It covers everything from well-trodden and busy paths to beautiful, rolling aspen singletrack. A short jaunt up to the Staunton Rock Overlook makes for great photos and a lunch spot.

Description

From the lower parking lot, start the counterclockwise loop up the Mason Creek Trail. Stop for a snack at the Old Mill, take the short uphill run to the overlook for fantastic views, and continue down the Staunton Ranch Trail after the intersection with Bugling Elk Trail. When you reach the upper parking lot, be sure to catch the small connector that drops down and left from the road in order to get the last bit of trail back to the parking lot.
