Need to Know
While you're there, it is worthwhile to visit the Rhododendron Gardens, which are free to enter and wander around.
Description
Throughout this run, you'll see some beautiful scenery including views across the valley and out to the Warburton Ranges. There are many kangaroos, wallabies, kookaburras, and other Australian wildlife around, so it is possible to sight these in this area.
The run is a combination of singletrack bush tracks, wide gravel tracks, and paved roads.
Throughout the loop, you'll find some great picnic spots where you can sit and take in the serenity of the area or just sit and admire the views and the bushland. Picnic spots include Woolrich Lookout and Eagle Nest Picnic Ground as well as the Olinda Falls Picnic Ground. You'll also run past the RJ Hamer Arboretum.
It is possible to start this loop at any point along the way, as there are car parking areas at numerous points.
