Description

This is a long trail. Some sections are in good shape (Nature Center to intersection with Fork Mountain Trail - East Section and from intersection with Frosty Gap #235 trail to Eagle Camp Trail #259) as of Sept, 2017, while other sections are in need of serious maintenance.

The sections that need some help tend to be soggy, muddy bogs. There are quite a few of these portions, and they can make the trail difficult to navigate. Elsewhere, the trail surface is manageable, but the local brush tends to overgrow the trail.

There is a maintenance plan for the section from the Frosty Gap #235 trail to the horse camp above Summit Lake, which if funded, should happen in the summer of 2018. Watch comments for the outcome of that project.
