Runner Notes
Just be careful of the many roots and rocks here as they are numerous and spread out all over the run.
Description
The
Orange Trail at Green Lane is shorter (2.7 mile) but certainly does not lack excitement with constant changes in grade and many obstacles including downed trees, countless roots, dozens of interspersed rocks, and slight turns. The trail is almost entirely under cover in the woods except for a brief road crossing. Navigation is easy and is further simplified through the use of signs and arrows as well as orange paint strokes on trees to direct you along the trail. The trail also loops right back around to the parking lot where you start. Grades were really no larger than 10% but the grade is constantly shifting which keeps you entertained the whole run.
