Runner Notes
There are additional trails that branch off this loop. Many joggers use the Miller Trail Loop and may branch off onto other trails or simply run the loop more than one time.
Description
Little Mulberry Park is a great park filled with trails and recreational areas. The Miller Trail Loop is a nice easy outing on a well paved and marked path. Throughout the trail, there are park benches, picnic tables, and trail markers to help you identify where you are on the trail.
What is really nice about this trail is the scenic view around Miller Lake. Throughout the trail, you'll see creeks feeding into the lake and nice views of the beautiful lake. Approximately two-thirds of the trail is shaded with nice overhanging hardwood trees. The other one-third of the trail is open space (field view/dam view of the lake) where you often feel a nice breeze coming off the lake.
The trail has mostly walkers and joggers. However, there are sometimes cyclists sharing the same path. Most of them are courteous and give you a warning that they are coming up behind you. The park also does allow dogs to be walked with the requirement that owners keep them leashed and pick up any droppings.
There is a nice bathroom at the entrance to the park and one outhouse below the dam.
Flora & Fauna
Deer, geese, white crane, gray herons, and an occasional snake can be found here. Typical wildflowers and hardwoods create the forest.
