Dogs Off-leash
Description
Sourdough Wing Creek Trail #411 is used mainly by hunters in the fall months. Running and horseback are the main uses.
The trail provides partial access to Little Wing Creek and the West Fork of Twentymile Creek and their elk and deer herds. The trail follows a timbered ridge between the Wing Creek and Twentymile Creek drainages. Timber stands are composed of lodgepole pine, Engelmann spruce, alpine fire, grand fir, western larch, and patches of pacific yew.
The trail is difficult to follow through Twentymile Meadows over the last half-mile section to its intersection with Reeds Bar Trail #412. RunnerS may expect to get wet crossing Twentymile Creek since there is no bridge.
The trail may serve for day trips from Sourdough Saddle campsite, or for longer trips using other trails in the area.
