You might find trouble rolling your ankle on leaf-covered rocks on the trail in the fall.

This is a really nice wooded trail with an overlook area and panoramic views of the Meramec River. A couple of small ponds are easily accessible through well-marked side trails. Expect a very steep first 3/4 of a mile.

Along this trail, there is a small creek and the terrain varies from older pavement for the first quarter of a mile to rock, dirt, and small field crossings. Overall, it's really nice for running.

Small snakes, turtles, and lizards can be seen on this trail.
