Foot traffic is welcome, but the area is primarily designed for ATV and OHV use and is popular with that crowd. Please stay alert while on the trail.
Description
The Hanging Rock Trail is the main loop in the Hanging Rock Trail system. The area boasts 24 miles of multi-use trails.
The trail itself is a never-ending series of ups, downs, twists and turns. There are a handful of really steep sections with other rigged climbs and descents mixed in.
The area was once a mining landscape which is why you'll see plenty of ponds scattered throughout.
This area is open to bikes, motorized and equestrian users - beware of others on the trail.
