Description

This trail sees a ton of traffic from motorcycles and tends not to pack down. As such it is extremely loose. The whole situation is not helped by the fact that one side generally runs up a steep gully/ravine. It can be done in either direction though it's best as described, and it's really only useful to connect between areas.

Coming from the Pokerchip Trail you'll run through some flat terrain before you start to climb. Depending on the current trail conditions, the climb shouldn't be too bad. You'll eventually contour around the left side of a high point before the descent begins.

Initially the descent is not too bad coming in stair step fashion. However, shortly the trail gets quite steep and the trail is loose, so watch your footing. Once at the bottom of the gully, a short flat section deposits you at a hairpin on a road that is actually the junction of Rd 12 and the Meadow Ridge Trail (road) with quick access to Lone Pine, Mighty Mule and the Cedro Singletrack.
