Reno Ridge offers up an alternative to stay along the ridge when you're at the top of Reno Road. Half the trail is doubletrack/dirt road and the other half is singletrack. This is a good trail to take if you planned on running Reno/Flag/Bear/Deadman's but weather is threatening and you don't want to commit to running down flag creek.

To get to Reno Ridge, run up to the top of Reno Road/Reno Divide. Just before the start of the Flag Creek singletrack, you'll see a dirt road on your right heading up along the ridge to the South. This is the start of Reno Ridge. Follow the road as it follows near the crest of the ridge.

After a few miles the road forks, stay right. Just as the main road starts another climb, there is the signed Reno Ridge singletrack on the right that has been etched into an old logging road. You'll know youre on the right path because several stiff berms have been built to discourage four-wheel use. This part gets better as you go. Run through the trees and enjoy the singletrack as it ends right at the top of the Deadman's switchbacks
