The ski area is open to non-motorized vehicles when the ski area is not operational.
Description
Follow the Sierra-at-Tahoe paved access road to the parking lots. Continue nearly to the main lodge of the ski area. Prior to the ski lodge, leave the pavement and pass the bottom of Grandview chairlift and continue up the dirt road that is Sugar-and-Spice ski run.
In early summer, when conditions are wet, it's recommended to follow a different route: continue up the ski area parking lot and follow the ridge up to the top of Easy Rider chairlift then stay on the ridge up the Corkscrew Run. It's a steep climb but is doable as the road has good traction and it puts you at the same spot at the top of Sugar and Spice.
In either case, you'll want to continue over the saddle that divides the western side of Sierra-at-Tahoe (top of West Bowl) from the main mountain. Continue over this saddle and descend the Short Stuff ski run on the dirt road. On the 3rd switchback, leave the dirt road for the faint singletrack westward through grass to the Forest Service
Bryan Meadow Trail (17E13).
