Description

Probably one of the best trails in the valley. The running is generally non-technical with just a few rocks.

Drive up #2 Canyon Road to where the pavement ends. If you don't have a high clearance vehicle start your run here. Run or drive up the dirt road through the first gate (normally open except in winter) to the second gate. Go around the second gate and climb approximately 100 yards looking for the trail that starts off to your right.

About 2/3 of the way to the top, you'll reach a section of doubletrack, continue to climb until the doubletrack merges back into a singletrack. Follow the singletrack all the way to the top. Turn around and go down!

Alternate route would be to stay on the doubletrack road all the way to the top of the run. Slightly faster to get to the top of the run but much less interesting.

Rough early-spring-like snow conditions - ice scratched my ankles to death. Wait for more snow or more melt 6mi

Road drive able with decent tires - snow cover varies between 0.5 inch to ~4 inches, all well packed down and grippy, no spikes needed 6.5mi
