This is a mountain bike park that is also open to foot traffic. Bikes will move fast through here. Be sure to follow any direction signs that are applicable to foot traffic. Stay alert when on the trails and be aware of oncoming traffic (headphones not recommended).

Description

Foot traffic must travel counter-clockwise on this trail.

Rocky Branch Trail is rated Moderate and is the easiest of all the trails at Rocky Knob, where there are no "Easy" trails. This and all the trails at the park have a treadway that is more rock than dirt.

Take Rocky Branch and follow it counter-clockwise to access Middle Earth and all other trails at the park. Rocky Branch begins just after the short entrance trail and main trailhead in the parking lot at 3245 ft. After climbing, the trail descends some tight turns, short rugged sections, and crosses 4 bridges.
