This trail was just reclaimed from years of neglect and still has plenty of surprises lying in wait for the unsuspecting runner. At one time, ATV riders poached the singletrack, though it's since been closed to motorized use. Still, their previous use left the steep section loose and sketchy.

After running through a meadow, you'll re-enter the trees and somewhere in there the trail leaves the main ridge. Chances are you'll blow past the intersection and continue on Tolan-Reimel Ridge Trail #203 and that is perfectly fine. That's what you should do. While the trail beyond is mapped where it is supposed to be, so far we haven't found the junction and as far as we know it hasn't be used or maintained in years.

Instead, stay on Tolan-Reimel Ridge Trail #203 until you climb to a little knoll and take the Logging Road road down. Of course, that intersection also is not obvious. Follow the Trail Run Project mobile app and the track will reappear once you enter the trees. Just make sure you don't miss the turn off to the Logging Road as the Tolan-Reimel Ridge Trail #203 dead ends at private property and it would be a long climb back up.
