DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multiuse, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and bikers. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Description

Twixt starts off of Longside, 1/4 of a mile from the Corn Mill Shoals parking area and ends on Cascade Lake Road at the intersection with Rock Quarry Road.

This trail is often used in conjunction with Longside, Rock Quarry Road, and Buck Ridge Road to access the downhill of Micajah and Wilkie for a short loop that can add mileage to a standard The Best of Dupont: Burnt Mtn. / Cedar Rock Big Rock Figure-Eight loop.
