Description
From the trailhead, it is an easy, flat run with lots of open woods and long stretches of trail following Brewer's Brook, which you'll cross via a wooden bridge.
Around the first mile, the grade will begin to increase gradually, preparing you for the remainder of the run, which will continue to get steeper.
At around the second mile, the trail becomes much steeper and will remain this way for the duration of the run.
At 0.5 miles from the peak, you'll encounter a spring where you can refill your water bottles and Cooper's Lodge shelter.
The remaining 0.5 miles is a steep rocky set of switchbacks that lead up the backside of Killington Mountain to the peak.
