Description

This full size vehicle dirt road connects Prince Creek Road near the top of Monte Carlo Trail, climbs up to the very top of the Crown, and then descends to to the top of Prince Creek Road, where it meets the parking lot trailhead & saddle with West Sopris Creek Road. Rating this as easy / intermediate; although it's a wide dirt road, it has steep portions and considerable amounts of climbing involved.

The expansive mid-valley views, and views of Mount Sopris, Capitol Peak, and more distant mountain ranges from the top of the Crown are well worth the visit.
