Description
This run is a great way to reflect on nature and remember what summer camp once was. This trail system is surprisingly serene for being located among housing developments and well-traveled roads. The park has several great trails to choose from, allowing for a variety of run options and different loops.
Starting from the northern parking lot, by the park office, run south on a short connector to access the
Lakeside Trail. This is a fantastic trail that closely follows the lake and allows for close up views of water wildlife and fowl, like cranes. Overall, it is a very relaxing and peaceful trail.
From the eastern side of the
Lakeside Trail, use the short
Order of the Arrow Trail to connect with the
Border Trail. The
Border Trail is a beautiful trail that provides an opportunity to see deer and the small creeks of the park.
From the end of the
Border Trail, you can then run north again with a short side excursion on the
Secret Creek Trail to loop back to the where you started.
Flora & Fauna
Plenty of hardwoods, deer, cranes, and squirrels.
