Once you're up here, this is a relatively easy run, but the hike up to the trail is very steep!

The trail follows the ridgeline for the first half mile and offers stunning views across San Ramon towards Mount Diablo. Keep right to stay within the park as the trail slowly descends. At 1.0 mile, you'll reach a water tank and briefly run over an unmaintained paved road. Cross the cattle gate and keep left to stay on the trail as it begins to descend more steeply now. You'll encounter yet another cattle gate before the trail reaches the edge of San Ramon again.
