This trail circles the Lake O' the Dalles, starting and ending at the beach parking lot. It offers access to the Camp Interstate Shelter (via the Camp Interstate Shelter Access Trail), River Bottoms Picnic Area, and the Beach House.

The trail hugs the shoreline for much of its length, but also climbs the sometimes-steep edge surrounding the lake. A bridge across Dalles Creek marks the approximate halfway point.
