Description

This trail is most notable for the ancient stone Sluggan Bridge over the River Dulnain which was originally built 18th century as part of General Wade's Military Road.

The route is an off road (mostly unpaved forest road) alternative section of the long distance, National Cycle Route 7 (NCR7) which runs from Sunderland (in England) to Inverness. Heading east to west there is a moderate climb just after the bridge, but overall the grades are pretty easy.
