Runner Notes
This trail connects directly to the dam trail and dogwood hill; beware of the southwest corner of the trail... it has a tendency to get very mucky in the rain
Description
This is a relatively flat, wide dirt trail, a little higher and undulating on the south side, and lower and flatter on the north side, which loops around a southeast section of the park just north of Regina High School, and is accessible from a parking lot on first avenue. Due to it's length and accessibility, it's a popular area of the park. The trail crosses several footbridges over Ralston Creek and many smaller tributary gullies. It's in a low area, so when the weather is wet, the surrounding hills drain into the creek, and the trail has a tendency to get pretty sloppy.
Flora & Fauna
Lots of whitetail deer, and small mammals, deciduous trees and songbirds.
