Runner Notes

If you're moving south to north, the trail forks near the top of the hill...both forks intersect with the Northeast Prairie Loop Trail, but veer right (east) to remain on the main trail which connects directly to the Northeast Prairie Bisector. If you're traveling north to south, all roads lead to Rome, er... the First Avenue Loop.

Description

This trail runs north-south along the eastern edge of the park, winding up a hill that connects the First Avenue Loop to the Northeast Prairie. It's winding, rocky, and rooty, hemmed in by trees and brush on both sides, and when wet, can be quite treacherous, so it makes for a fun couple tenths of a mile.
